TWHS ADVANCES WITH SERIES SWEEP
highlanders move to fourth round after 8-2 win
The Woodlands scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning Friday night against the Dragons and coasted to a 8-2 win over Round Rock, sweeping the series and advancing to the regional semifinals. Ryan Burnett recorded 15 strikeouts and only allowed 3 hits while earning the win on the mound. Alex Dunlap had 3 hits in the game including 2 doubles and Chris Andristos hit his school-record 13th home run of the season.

Carter Hope limited Round Rock to just 1 hit Thursday night while striking out 7 batters to help lead the Highlanders to a 4-0 win in the first game of the 3-game playoff series against the Dragons. Chris Andristos and Josh Shaw each recorded two hits to lead the offense.

The Woodlands remains ranked #1 in the state in the latest THSBCA poll released on May 9. The complete poll can be found on the THSBCA web site HERE.
