HIGHLANDER BASEBALL COACHING STAFF
HEAD COACH RON EASTMAN Coach Eastman enters his 16th season as Head Baseball Coach of The Woodlands High School, and as the coach with the most wins in Highlander history, with a record of 373-113. Last year, Eastman’s team hit an important milestone with it’s 500th win. Eastman’s overall record in 22 years as a head coach is 506-213. In 2013, the Highlanders won their 3rd state title, and Coach Eastman was named the National HS Coach of the year for the third time. In 2015, Coach Eastman was a nominee for the National Double Goal Coach of the Year for the Positive Coaching Alliance. During his 23 years as Head Coach at Lamar HS and The Woodlands, he has coached 48 All-State players, 15 All-Americans and has had 24 players taken in the MLB draft. Coach Eastman has also been named District Coach of the year 12 times. |
SHANE GRAVES Coach Shane Graves has been with The Woodlands Highlander baseball program for fifteen years. He is a graduate of Nacogdoches High School where he played football and baseball. Coach Graves played college baseball at Stephen F. Austin State University and is a 1995 graduate of Texas A&M University. Coach Graves has served as the pitching coach for the Highlanders for 10 years including the 2006 State Championship. He also serves as Athletic Coordinator and Head Football coach for The Woodlands Ninth Grade Campus. He and his wife Dina have a daughter Peyton(10), and twins, son Bryce and daughter Rylie (7). |
CHRIS HARDEN Coach Chris Harden enters his eleventh year as Assistant Coach for The Woodlands Highlander Varsity team. He is a 1988 graduate of Cheboygan High School, Cheboygan, MI, where he played Varsity baseball, football and basketball. He attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI, where he earned his Bachelors in Math Education in 1997. At Ferris State he was a four-year Varsity baseball player. In 1993, he was named the MVP for the Ferris State University Baseball Team, and in the same season made Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 1st Team AllConference. Coach Harden is currently a Math teacher at TWHS. This is his 18th year of teaching, the last 16 with CISD. He is a single parent with thirteen year old twin sons, Jarrod & Jordan. He is the son of Richard & Lucy. |
BRYAN HILL Coach Bryan Hill enters his Thirteenth season with The Highlander baseball program and seventh year as head coach for the sophomore team. Coach Hill is in his Fifteenth year of teaching/coaching and Fourteenth year in CISD. He has coached at Knox Junior High (1998 – 2000), at Branch Crossing Junior High (2000 – 2005), and is currently teaching Biology and coaching football and baseball at TWHS 9th Grade Campus. Coach Hill graduated from Glen Oaks High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1986, where he made All-District and team MVP as a catcher. He also caught at Gulf Coast CC and Henderson State University, graduating from there in 1992. Coach Hill and wife of 11 years, Ronda, have a 10-year-old son, Bridger, and 5 year old twins Calli and Camden. |

CHAD ROZELLE Coach Chad Rozelle is in his fourth year with the The Highlander Baseball Program assisting at all levels. Before coming to The Woodlands he served as the JV coach at College Park High School from 2005-2008. Prior to College Park, Coach Rozelle coached The Woodlands Sophomore Baseball team for 7 years and was a proud member of the coaching staff that won the 2000 5A State Championship. Coach Rozelle is a 1996 graduate of Texas A&M and enjoys playing golf. |
JEFF LILLEY Jeff is entering his third year as an assistant for the Sophomore team. He currently teaches at McCullough Junior High. Jeff graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, (now Louisiana-Lafayette). He coached baseball for two years in Louisiana at Merryville High and Oberlin High and then moved to Texas and coached baseball at Hull-Daisetta High School. After five years at Hull-Daisetta, Coach Lilley moved to Cypress with his wife Katrina and their two kids, Kaitlyn and Carter. |
